Miss Charlotte Heppner, daughter of R. C. Heppner, of the town of Hull, and William Borchardt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Borchardt, of the town of Frankfort, were married Saturday at 3:30 at the St. John’s Lutheran church of the town of Wien, Rev. Ernest Nottbaum reading the marriage ceremony. Baskets of roses and bouquets of garden flowers were arranged on the altar. Miss Bernice Heppner attended as maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Margaret Borchardt and Miss Ruth Borchardt. Eric Borchardt was best man and the groomsmen were Martin Gauerke and Hilbert Borchardt.
The bride wore a floor length satin gown and a veil of tulle arranged in cap effect and carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses. The maid of honor was attired in a floor length yellow crepe frock. The bridesmaids were dressed alike in frocks of pink and blue crepe and the three carried arm bouquets.
A reception was held at the home of the bride’s father and supper was served seventy-five guests. The home was decorated in streamers of pastel shades and garden flowers. Guests from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Herdegen and children, Luke Steegenburger and Miss Floreteen Clayton of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Basem and family of Fond du Lac, Martin Gauerke and Miss Margaret Borchardt of Appleton.
The newlyweds will make their home with the groom’s parents and will be at home to friends immediately.
