Colby - A former Colby resident, Bernard Tesmer, 63, Rhinelander, died Thursday at St. Mary’s Hospital, Rhinelander.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, Colby, Wisconsin. Burial will be in Colby Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. M. G. Neumann officiating.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday at Rux Funeral Home, Colby.
He was born Nov. 29, 1922, in Colby, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Tesmer. He attended Colby schools. He married Alice Flink June 3, 1944, in Unity.
Mr. Tesmer was a cheesemaker in the Loyal and Colby area for several years. He operated the IGA Store, Westboro, for a number of years. He owned and operated Ford Garage, Colby, for 25 years. He also operated Town and Country Bar, Colby, for a number of years. Before his death, he was owner and operator of Toma-lander Motel Bar and Restaurant, Rhinelander. He had lived in Rhinelander for the past 8 ½ years.
Surviving, besides his wife, are two sons, William and Randy, both of Abbotsford; one daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Sara) Greuel of Stratford; three sisters, Mrs. Theodore (Loella) Frome, Colby; Mrs. Carl (Lenora) Paschke of Winneconne and Mrs. Louise Thieme of Port Edwards; and six grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister.
