Vanderhoof, Albert (13 Feb. 1881 - 25 Nov. 1957)
Spencer, Wis. - Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Trinity Lutheran Church for Albert Vanderhoof, 76, who died Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield. He had been ill with a heart condition and dropsy for the past three months.
The body will lie in state at the Swarthout Funeral Home from tonight until noon Friday, when it will be taken to the church. The pastor, the Rev. W. R. Krueger, will conduct the final services which will be followed by burial in the West Spencer cemetery.
Mr. Vanderhoof, one of five children of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vanderhoof, was born Feb. 13, 1881, in the town of Sherman in Clark county. His marriage to Lydia Hoops took place Dec. 3, 1903, at Trinity Church here and was performed by the late Rev. A. F. Imm. The couple farmed in the town of Sherman until 1946, when they moved to a new home in Spencer.
Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Alvera) Voelker, Marshfield, and Mrs. Paul (Ethel) Bymers, Spencer; one brother, Jay Vanderhoof, Spencer; one sister, Mrs. Archie Smith, Loyal; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Coba, one brother and one sister.
