Zitzer, Frieda E. (Marriage - 8 Aug. 1934)
Frieda E. Zitzer, daughter of Mrs. G. Schultz, and Harold E. Block of Colby were married at the St. John’s Lutheran church at Riplinger Wednesday, August 8th, at 1:30 P.M., Rev. Gamb reading the marriage ceremony. Emily H. Zitzer, sister of the bride, acted as maid of honor and Gertrude Ewald was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by Bert Hinke and Jiles Andresky. Pauline Zitzer and Norma Domer acted as flower girls.
The bride was attired in a dress of white crepe, ankle length, with headdress and veil and her bouquet consisted of roses. The maid of honor wore a dress of light green net, ankle length and her bouquet consisted of sweet peas, snapdragons and carnations. The bridesmaid wore a dress of yellow net, ankle length, and her bouquet was the same as that of the maid of honor. The flower girls wore dresses of pink organdie.
A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. Schultz and, in the evening, a wedding dance was given at the Oakwood pavilion which was largely attended by friends and relatives.
