Tesmer, Louise (Marriage - 12 Sept. 1934)

A charming wedding took place Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. when Miss Louise Tesmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. F. Tesmer, became the bride of Mr. Harry Thieme, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thieme, Rev. M. C. Goetsch reading the marriage ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents. Esther Tesmer, the bride’s sister, acted as maid of honor and Florence Singstock, the cousin, was bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his brother, Franklin Thieme, and Arnold Stephens.

The bride was attired in a beautiful dress of brown crepe, trimmed in pink, and wore brown shoes and a brown hat. Her shoulder bouquet consisted of asters and baby breath. Both the maid of honor and the bridesmaid were attired in a dress of green crepe, brown shoes, brown hats and their shoulder bouquets consisted of roses and sweet peas.

A wedding reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents for the immediate members of the families, covers being laid for fifty. The home was nicely decorated with yellow and white streamers for the occasion. In the evening, a free wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion which was largely attended by friends and relatives. The young couple will make their home with the bride’s parents for the present.

Out of town people here for the wedding were Miss Lenore Tesmer of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Thieme of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Seymour Gustafson of Unity and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Stammer of Marshfield.
