Philippi, Peter (19 Oct. 1868 - 12 Sept. 1934)
Funeral services for Peter Philippi, whose death was reported last week, were held at Dale, Wis., Monday at the Catholic church and internment was made at Dale.
The deceased was born at St. John, Wis., Oct. 19, 1868, and died at Riverview Sanitarium, Little Chute, Wis., Sept. 12, 1934, thus reaching the age of sixty-five years, ten months and twenty-four days. He came to Clark county with his parents, at the age of nine years and lived here until he went to Dale, Wis., in 1898. He was married to Lydia Leiby of Dale in 1899 to which union eight children were born, one of whom, Evelyn Philippi, who attended high school at Colby, preceded him in death a year and a half ago. He entered the General Hospital at Madison for diabetes May 21, 1933, and from there was taken to Riverview Sanitarium at Little Chute, Wisconsin where he passed away.
Besides his widow, seven children and five grand children, he is survived by two brothers and two sisters, namely: John Philippi of Lake Villa, Ill., Mike Philippi of Marshfield, Mrs. L. W. Frane of Colby and Miss Kathryn Philippi of Colby.
