Badzinski, Alex Sam (July 15, 1919 - Aug 3, 2007)
THORP -- Alex Sam Badzinski, 88, of Thorp, died Friday, Aug. 3, 2007, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at St. Bernard-St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. Inurnment will follow at St. Hedwig's Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Aug. 24 at the church.
Thorp Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Alex was born July 15, 1919, in the town of Reseburg to Walter and Myrtle (Kubera) Badzinski. He was united in marriage to Lucille Swienton on Sept. 12, 1942, at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. She passed away Aug. 31, 1999. During his working years, he was an electrician, carpenter, logger, milk hauler and semi driver. He retired from Indianhead Truckline in Chippewa Falls on Dec. 31, 1981, after 25 years of employment.
He is survived by his sons, Dennis Badzinski of Orlando, Fla., and Duane (Judy) Badzinski of Chippewa Falls; daughters, Dianne Luzinski of Chippewa Falls, and Denise (Merlin) Lee of Omaha, Neb.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother, Harry (Marge) Badzinski of Thorp; and sister, Val (Abbie) Krych of Richfield, Minn.; and friend, Marge Sonnentag of Thorp.
