Ross, Andrew #2 (2 JUL 1837 - 1 APR 1900)

The remains of Andrew Ross were brought to this city (Clark Co., Wis.) Tuesday and interred in the family lot. He died in Kansas City, Mo., April 1, 1900. Mrs. Ross accompanied the body. The services were held at the Congregational Church, Rev. Longenecker officiating. Deceased was 62 years old. He was born in Cranbourn Co., Dorchester Co., Province Of Quebec. Was married here in 1875 to Lucinda Garvin of Pine Valley (Clark Co.), who survives him. Three daughters were born and are living, Sarah Margaret, Violet Maud and Florence Lucinda. Sarah married James Foster of Kansas City. He was a brother of John Ross of this city, of the late Robt. Ross, and the Mrs. Thos. Garvin, and uncle of Mrs. Charles Foote and Mrs. D.B. Manes. His death resulted from asthmic dropsy. The A.O.U.W., of which he was a member, attended the funeral and conducted the services at the grave. Mr. and Mrs. Ross formerly resided on the farm now owned by John Wildish, south of the Fair Grounds, and were highly esteemed by the "old guard" settlers, who will hear with regret of Andrew’s death.
