Goss, Mary (1832 - APR 1900)

Mary Goss, wife of Winthrop C. Goss, died at 2:15 p.m. yesterday at the house of her daughter, Mrs. W. J. Kennedy, on Third Av. N. She had been sick for but a few days with pneumonia. Mr. Goss is also sick in bed.

Mrs. Goss was born in St. George N.B., 69 years ago. She removed to Wisconsin 46 years ago and lived at Onalaska, La Crosse and Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.). She then removed to Anoka, Minn., where she resided ten years, and where Mr. Goss was a member of the Masonic Lodge, and the family attended the Universalist Church.

Mrs. Goss Leaves four children, Mrs. W.J. Kennedy and Frank Goss of this city, Robert Goss of Minneapolis, and Joseph Goss of Gilt Edge.

Mrs. Goss lived on the old Goss farm in Levis (Clark Co.) nearly 20 years, keeping a hotel there part of the time.

Since writing the above word in received that Mr. Winthrop C. Goss died April 9th, 1900, at 3 a.m. at Great Falls, Mont., aged 72, just ten days after his wife’s death.
