Umhoefer, Tessie (Marriage - 10 Nov. 1934)
Miss Tessie Umhoefer of Madison, formerly of Colby and a sister of Mr. Anton X. Umhoefer of Colby and Emil Umhoefer of Marshfield, became the bride of Mr. Alan Hackworthy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hackworthy of Appleton, at a ceremony performed at the parsonage of the Sacred Heart church at Marshfield, Rev. H. P. Toeller reading the marriage ceremony in the presence of immediate relatives and friends. The attending couple were Mr. and Mrs. John O’Leary.
The bride was attired in a rose colored lace gown with a short train with brown accessories and a bouquet of Ellen roses. Mrs. O’Leary wore aquamarine crepe of floor length and her accessories were also of brown. She carried yellow chrysanthemums. Dinner was served at the Hotel Charles at Marshfield for thirty guests.
After a wedding trip in northern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Hackworthy will reside in Neenah where they will be at home to their friends after Nov. 20th. Mr. Hackworthy is employed in the clerical department of the Menasha Products Company.
