Jacobi, Henry Sr. (8 Dec. 1856 - Jan. 1935)

Henry Jacobi, Sr., one of the early pioneers of Abbotsford, died at his home in that village at the age of seventy-one years. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. this week Thursday at the Abbotsford Lutheran church, Rev. J. B. Brandt officiating, and burial will be made in the town of Holton cemetery.

The deceased was born in the town of Wilson, Sheboygan county, Dec. 8, 1856. He was married to Augusta Schmitz at Newton, Manitowoc county, and they moved to the town of Holton in 1880 where Mr. Jacobi cleared a track of land and built a fine farm where he lived with his family until 1912 when the family moved to Colby but went to Abbotsford seven years later where the deceased worked as a carpenter and mason until the past summer.

He is survived by his widow, one daughter and three sons, namely: Mrs. Emma Barentt, Henry, Edward and Herbert Jacobi, of the town of Holton. Also two sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Frank Lehman of Sheboygan, Mrs. Robert Flemming of Humboldt, Iowa, H. W. Jacobi of Rathdrum, Idaho, and Fred Jacobi of Cleveland, Wis. Two children preceded him in death - Oscar in infancy and Edna at the age of ten.
