Schuster, Lillie (1869? - 21 May 1887)

Schuster - Miss Lillie Schuster, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schuster, died in Neillsville on Saturday afternoon May 21, 1887, aged 18 years, 6 months and 13 days.

Lillie had grown up here in Neillsville and was much loved and admired because of her amiable disposition and cheerful ways. Never very strong, she underwent a great strain during the last illness of her brother Louis, who died last November, since which time she has gradually declined. Some weeks ago she was afflicted with the measles, which left her lungs so weak as to hasten her death. She suffered with patience, and faced death with composure, bidding her family farewell on the day preceding her final departure.

The funeral was attended from the residence, W. T. Hendren officiating. The floral decorations were very fine- the fruits of home industry and taste. Mrs. Maggie Kirkland and Miss Addie Neff gave special time and through to the whole arrangements. A quartette sang most beautifully, and the whole affair illustrated the appropriateness of a quiet but solemn service at the home.

Two sons and four daughters remain to comfort the afflicted parents in their declining years.

* * * * CARD OF THANKS

To the many kind and loving friends who ministered to the wants of our daughter and sister, Lillie during her late illness, we would make their feeble acknowledgement of our appreciation and thankfulness. None but those who have been the recipients of such kindly acts can appreciate how deeply grateful we feel and how preeminent will be their memory.

Mr. and Mrs. Schuster and Family.
