Hammond, Alice M. (Marriage - May 1935)
Miss Alice M. Hammond, granddaughter of Mrs. H. E. Frisbie, Durand, and Archie C. Tweit, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Tweit, Holcombe, were recently married at the bride’s home in Durand. Officiating at the ceremony was the Rev. E. A. Weaver of the Methodist Episcopal church.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hammond, Durand, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, attended the couple. The bride is a graduate of the State Teachers College at Whitewater, and has been the commercial teacher in the Colby, Wis. High School for the past four years.
Mr. Tweit graduated from the River Falls State Teachers College, and has been the science teacher and coach for five years at Colby.
Mr. and Mrs. Tweit will leave on a camping trip in the northern part of the state. On their return they will make their home in Colby where the groom will again teach the coming year.
