The Poor Farm

Mr. Frank Pleaske and the Kettle Bros., who have been putting in a furnace at the Poor Farm, speak in the highest terms of Mr. Ebbe’s management of the farm. Mr. Ebbe is kind to the inmates and careful of the farm stock and farm implements belonging to the county. He is taking as much interest in the place as if it was his own, and the Times is glad to add the testimony of the Messrs. Pleaske and Kettels of that of many other gentlemen who have had work at the farm for the past few months. There ware one or two insane persons on the farm who are troublesome and would try to the patience of any one, but Mr. Ebbe treats them kindly and thus controls them in a remarkable easy manner. The position of overseer of the farm is not a very desirable one, and we congratulate Mr. E. upon the satisfactory manner in which he is looking after the county’s interests in that direction.
