Miss Eleanor Josephine Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schmidt of the town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. George Frederick Schmidt, son of Mrs. Ed Beller of the town of Withee (Clark Co.), were united in holy wedlock by Rev. A.M. Muckerheide at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, at nine o’clock on Tuesday morning, June 1st, 1937. The bride was beautifully gowned in a dress of white satin and train and wore a cap effect veil, her shower bouquet being lilies of the valley and roses. The groom and his attendants wore dark blue suits. Hermiss Schmidt, brother of the bride, and Miss Rose Schmidt acted as best man and bridesmaid. She wore a blue lace dress over satin and carried a bouquet of pink roses and sweet peas. The maid of honor, Mrs. Melvyn Schmidt, wore yellow lace over satin and carried Jonathon roses and sweet peas. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. W. Schmidt also attended the couple, the latter being attire in a pink lace over satin dress, likewise carrying pink roses and sweet peas.

A reception was held after the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents, attended by immediate relatives and friends, and a wedding dance was given at Mileaway Pavilion in the evening.

The happy newlyweds will reside on a farm two miles east of the village, where they will be at home to their many well wishing friends.
