Slupski, Theresa (19 JUN 1937)
A very beautiful wedding took place Saturday morning, June 19, 1937, at 9:30 at St. Constance Church, Chicago, when Rev. S.B. Bialas united in marriage, Miss Theresa Slupski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Slupski, and Mr. John Dulek Jr., son of Mr. John Dulek Sr. of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). The alter was decorated with white roses. Large palms bordered the aisle.
Attending the bride was Miss Charlotte Ziakowski, a cousin, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Roscella Slupski, sister of the bride, and Miss Ann Dulek, sister of the groom.
The groom had as his attendants, his brother, Frank Dulek, and John Roble. They wore full dress suits.
The bride was gowned very beautifully in a white satin dress on fitted lines. Fashioned with a long coat effect train made of white silk lace, with long sleeves puffed at the top and fitted at the wrist. Her tulle veil attached to a white crepe turban, and she carried a large bouquet of white gardenias and lilies of the valley.
The maid of honor wore a dress of yellow mousseline de soie and a Nile Green straw turban with yellow streamers, and carried a large bouquet of white daisies.
The bridesmaids wore nile green mousseline de soie dresses, all the same style, with yellow straw turbans with Nile green streamers and carried bouquets of tea roses with bachelor buttons.
Breakfast and dinner was served at the home of the bride’s aunt, Mrs. Phil Ziakowski.
The newlyweds will reside in Chicago, where the groom is employed. They have a great host of friends who wish them success and happiness in their new venture.
