On Saturday, June 1, 1957 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, Miss Avis Joan Lunka, Willard, became the bride of Stanley Suda, Greenwood.
The Greenwood Merchants Baseball team split in two games last week. They lost to Abbotsford 2-1 and defeated Loyal 9-0.
Electors of the Willard and West Eaton school districts annexed to the Greenwood Public School District at a special meeting in Greenwood on Monday. Of the 40 votes cast, 32 voted in favor of the annexation.
John P. Olson, son of Dr. and Mrs. William A. Olson, Greenwood, received his doctor of medicine degree at the University of Rochester’s 107th commencement, Sunday, June 9.
Ernest Vollrath, who is a dealer for the DeKalb seed corn in this area, received an award of a boat trip from Chicago to Mackinac Island.
Paul Plautz is now receiving Military Police training at Fort Gordon, Georgia.
Born to Pfc. And Mrs. Francis Brey on Wednesday, June 12, a baby girl.
Born to Mr. And Mrs. Edward Bayuk, Willard, on Wednesday, June 12, a baby boy.
Friday night bowling championship team consisted of John Suda, Charles Kropf, Harold Reineke, Tony Suda, Eugene Janezich, and Red Standiford.
