SNOW STORM
Greenwood was visited by its first, and worst, snow storm last Thursday and Friday. Schools were closed all day Friday. It is estimated that we had nearly 18 inches of snow in this area, with drifts, in some places, being several feet high. Once again our city crew worked around the clock and kept our streets open to the best of their ability. By Saturday noon they had most of the snow removed from our Main Street and on Sunday they removed snow from business places on other streets. So once again we are back to normal, and we must admit our snow removal machines is worth every cent it cost, when we see what a find job is done after a storm like that.
