Klein, Elizabeth (Marriage - 2 Oct. 1935)
A pretty wedding took place at the St. Joseph’s Catholic church at Stratford, Wisconsin, October 2, when Miss Elizabeth Klein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Klein of Stratford, became the bride of Mr. Leon Steinwand, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Steinwand of Colby, Rev. J. L. Schumacher performing the ceremony. Miss Leona Steinwand of Colby acted as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by Eugene Klein of Neenah.
The bride was attired in a beautiful gown of French violet transparent velvet trimmed with silver. Her hat and slippers matched her dress. Her bridal bouquet consisted of transparent velvet of raspberry shade trimmed with silver. Her hat and slippers were of silver. Her shower bouquet consisted of baby breath and sweet peas.
After the church ceremony, a reception and dinner was held at the Klein home, the home being nicely decorated with garden flowers for the occasion. The newlyweds are spending ten days touring the southern part of the state, and, on their return, will make their home on a farm near Colby.
The bride is a graduate of Stratford high school and the Normal at Wausau. She taught school since 1931.
Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ted Steinwand of Colby, Miss Eleanor Klein of Milwaukee, Royal Klein of Black River Falls, Mrs. A. Nehring of Milwaukee, Misses Violet Remus and Alma Haroldson of Edgar, Rodger Cook of Unity and Eugene Klein of Neenah.
