Glenzer, Henry #2 (18 May 1852 - Nov. 1935)
Henry Glenzer, Sr., 83, a resident of Abbotsford until last September when he went to live with his son, Henry Glenzer at Stevens Point, died at a hospital in the later city. He had been ill since October 1. Death was due to old age and heart trouble. He was born May 18, 1852, at Sheboygan, and was married June 4, 1892, at Colby to Mrs. Fredericka Smith Lietzow, who died March 31, 1931, after which Mr. Glenzer moved from Dorchester to Abbotsford, to live with his daughter, Mrs. Walter Boss. He is survived by two children, Mrs. Walter Boss of Abbotsford, and Henry Glenzer of Stevens Point, six stepchildren, Mrs. Hannah Verhulst of Dorchester, Mrs. Frank Way of Medford, August Lietzow of Ashland, Edward Lietzow of Abbotsford, Mrs. G. N. Schultz of Ripon and Mrs. Edward Flood of Stevens Point; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Klemm and Mrs. Barbara Stecker of Colby; two brothers, Richard Glenzer of the town of Green Grove, Clark county, and August Glenzer of Kaukauna, thirty three grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Walter Boss home at Abbotsford and at 2 o’clock at the Salem Evangelical church at Dorchester, Rev. L. G. Thiel officiated. Burial was made in the Dorchester Memorial cemetery. The six grandsons served as pall bearers.
