Nelson, Oscar (11 MAY 1902 - 16 JUL 1937)
Oscar Nelson of the town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), aged 35 years, 2 months and 5 days, passed away Friday, July 16, 1937, at Mount View Sanatorium at Wausau, Wis., where he had been a patient for three weeks.
He was born at Eidsvold (Clark Co., Wis.), May 11, 1902, in which vicinity he spent most of his life. He was united in marriage to Mrs. Laura Raether, May 22, 1930. To this union one sons, Jame John, was born, who preceded him in death in infancy.
Those left to mourn are his wife, two step-children, Raymond Raether at home, (Leona) Mrs. Chas. Vetterkind Jr. on a farm in the town of Reseburg; his father, John Nelson of The town of Thorp; two sisters, (Helen) Mrs. Chas. Allar of Chippewa Falls; (Clara) Mrs. Albert Lee of Gilman; four brothers, Henry, Olaf and Joe of Eidsvold, and John of Weldon, Sask., Canada; one brother preceding him in death about seven months ago.
The pallbearers were: John Rogalski, Walter Reinke, Hollis Decker, Thos Polnaszek, John Papierniak and Lief Larson.
The funeral took place Monday afternoon, July 19th from St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Reseburg, Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiating, interment following in the Riverside Cemetery.
