Misener, Ida (9 Nov. 1891 - 8 July 1941)

Unity, Wis. - Mrs. Van Misener, 50, died this morning at her home here of tumor of the brain following an illness of three years. Burial will be made at Colby but other funeral arrangements are not yet complete.

Mrs. Misener, nee Ida Liepert, was born in Glenwood City in 1891. After living there for 10 years she came to Unity, where she was married to Van Misener on Jan. 5, 1908. She had lived here for the past 40 years.

She is survived by her husband and the following children: Sgt. Glenn Misener, Camp Livingston, La.; Warren, Chicago; Ray, Walworth, Ill.; and Mrs. Forrest (Genevieve) Johnson, Unity.

Three grandchildren, two brothers, Herb Liepert, Canada, and Oscar Ewert, Spencer, and the following sisters, Mrs. Ann Ewert, Decatur, Mich.; Minnie, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Clara Firnstahl, Michigan; Mrs. Hattie Peterson, Neillsville; Mrs. Alma Flink, Unity; and Mrs. Esther Forrest, Marshfield also survive her.

*** Note: Oscar Liepert appeared in the original article as a survivor, but his surname is Ewert. Oscar was a half brother. Also, Mrs. Clara Firnstahl appeared in the original article as Mrs. Carl Firnstahl, but she was married to Edmund Paul Firnstahl.
