Wilfred J. Marcott

ABBOTSFORD--Wilfred J. Marcott, 74, Abbotsford, died at 8:50 a.m. Friday in the Hospice Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Curtiss Alliance Church, with the Rev. Gary Hempel officiating. Burial will be in Pinehill Cemetery, Curtiss, Wis. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael, Patrick and Shannon Marcott, while other pallbearers will include Randy, Brian, Bruce, Mitchell and Shon Marcott.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Sunday at the Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, Wis.

Mr. Marcott was born July 5, 1911, in the Town of Little Black, a son of the late Henry and Albine Marcotte. He graduated from Phillips High School in 1929.

He married Dorothy Pudlas June 9, 1934. She died may 26, 1960. He married Gladys Irene Krause Aug 7, 1965. She survives.

Mr. Marcott farmed in the town of Mayville from 1945-73 and then moved to Abbotsford, Wis. He also was a school bus driver for the Abbotsford School District for a number of years.

He was a member of Curtiss Alliance Church and its Church Board. He served as supervisor and treasurer of the Mayville Town Board; was a member of Pleasanthill School Board and was a supervisor for the Clark County Board.

Surviving, besides his wife, Gladys, are two daughters, Susan Marcott of New Berlin and Burdella Marcott of Medford; two sons, W. Arthur Marcott of Curtiss and Donald Marcott of Abbotsford; five brothers, Lester M. Marcott of Green Cove Speing, Fla., Kenneth Marcott of Dorchester, Galen Marcott of Mosinee, Allen Marcott of Macon, Ga., and Joseph Weinzinger of VanBuren, Ark.; two sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Erma) Kauffman of Phillips and Mrs. Lee (Joyce) Nelson of Medford; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Besides his parents and first wife, he was predeceased by two sons, Richard and Robert Marcott; one brother, Arthur marcott and one sister Hilda Page.
