ABBOTSFORD--Lorinda J. Rayner, 77, Winneconne, formerly of Abbotsford, died at 10:03 p.m. Aug. 11, 1995, at the Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Abbotsford, with the rev. Al Jakubowski officiating. Burial will be in the Abbotsford Public Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Maurina Funeral Home in Abbotsford, Wis. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m.
The former Lorinda Hoffman was born July 25, 1918, in Stratford, the daughter of Herman and Lyda (Hagen) Hoffman. Lorinda met her husband, Charles F. Rayner, in Seattle, Wash., during World War II, where she worked as a "Sosie the Riveter." After their marriage, the moved to Abbotsford in 1946. In 1959, she moved to Oshkosh, where she owned and operated Linda's Beauty Salon. She retired in 1983.
Survivors include her son, Charles R. Rayner, Oshkosh; five brothers, Elmer Hoffman of Colby, henry Hoffman Wausau, Herman Hoffman of Rhinelander, Lyle Hoffman of Stratford, and Harold Hoffman of Waukon, Iowa; three sisters, Arlene Christopherson of Colby, Nona Leffel of Stratford, and Hermina Johnston of Lancaster, Calif.; and a good dog, Kelly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, in 1956; two sisters, Mable and Lorraine; and two brothers, Arnold and Clarence.
