Schjoneman, Mogen L. (25 Mar. 1875 - 8 Apr. 1951)
Funeral services for Mogen Louis Schjoneman, 76, Town of Brighton, who died Sunday morning, were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home and at 2 p.m. at the First Methodist Church, Unity, the Rev. Lee Holmes and the Rev. F. Smith officiating.
Mr. Schjoneman was born March 25, 1875, in Oxford, N.J. He came to the Town on Brighton with his parents at an early age settling on a farm. That same farm has been his home ever since.
While a young man he cooked in logging camps and on log drives. He was married October 3, 1905, to the former Kate L. Ayer. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America and a member of the Brighton Town Board for 30 years.
He is survived by two sons, Antone, Unity; and Merlin, Colby; and one daughter, Mrs. Harley Christiansen, Marshfield; nine grandchildren.
His wife died February 14, 1948. A son, Emery, and two brothers also preceded him in death.
