Justman, Roy James (25 May 1924 - 4 Oct. 1953)

The entire community was saddened Sunday to hear of the passing of Roy. J. Justman, 29, who passed away that day at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Roy suffered a stroke while at work at his IGA store, Friday and was taken to the hospital where he passed away at 1:45 P.M.

Mr. Justman was born on a farm 3 ½ miles southwest of Unity, Wiscosin on May 25, 1924. He was married to Vivian Johnson on May 24, 1945, in Trinity Lutheran Church.

Educated in Maple Grove school and the Unity, Wis. High School, he was employed at the Noll Hardware Store in Marshfield from 1942 to 1952 when he purchased the Unity IGA store.

He was confirmed by the late Rev. J. A. Olson in 1938 and was active in church work and a church officer.

Surviving besides his wife is one daughter, Susan, 3 years old, one brother, Merlin, on the home farm, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Justman Sr. One brother, Marvin preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 P.M. Wednesday with the Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery. The body reposed at the Lulloff Funeral Home until noon Wednesday.

Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2 P.M. last Wednesday with Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiating, for Roy James Justman, 29, who passed away October 4. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers were Rudy Anderson, Everett Capes, Donald Larson, Marvin Carlson, Ray Binning and Forrest Johnson.

Acting as flower girls were Mrs. Rudy Anderson, Mrs. Everett Capes, Mrs. Donald Larson, Mrs. Marvin Carlson, Mrs. Ray Binning, Mrs. Forrest Johnson, Miss Agnes Noll and Mrs. Tom Loughead.

During the services the church choir sang "No Tears in the Sky" and "We Shall Sleep, But Not Forever" with Mrs. Henry Binning accompanying at the organ.
