Rydberg, Emma W. (29 Apr. 1885 - 25 Mar. 1953)

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday for Mrs. Emma W. Rydberg, 67, who passed away last Wednesday. The Rev. Claude Vander Stoep officiated and burial was in the Lutheran cemetery.

The body reposed at the Lulloff Funeral Home until noon Saturday when it was taken to the church to repose until time of services.

Pallbearers were Oscar Carlson, Gust Carlson, Clarence Edblom, Herman Francen, Seymour Gustafson and Alfred Johnson.

The ladies in charge of the flowers were Mrs. O. W. Carlson, Mrs. S. Gustafson, Mrs. Carl Johnson, Mrs. Fred Miller, Mrs. Elmer Diers and Mrs. Alfred Johnson.

The Lutheran choir sang "Blessed Assurance" and "God Will Take Care of You" accompanied by Mrs. Henry Binning on the organ.

Mrs. Rydberg, the former Emma Melander, was born April 29, 1885 in Sweden. Her marriage to Gustave Rydberg took place May 22, 1903 in Chicago. They came to Unity in 1919 and have resided here since that time. Mr. Rydberg passed away August 24, 1951.

Survivors are five daughters: Mrs. Joseph Lynch, Chicago; Mrs. Roy Johnson, Downers Grove, Ill.; Mrs. Lawrence Rinn, Whitewater; Mrs. Ervin Bores, Marshfield; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Albert Johnson, Unity; and Mrs. Hulda Carlson, Mrs. Anna Johanson, and Mrs. Elmer Anderson, all of Sweden; and three brothers, Axel Melander, Chicago; and Knute and Elmer, Sweden.

Out of town people to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Lynch and Mr. and Mrs. Axel Melander, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Mizener, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Milotte, and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Johnson, Downers Grove, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Pevonka, Janesville; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Rinn and Mrs. Esther Schultz, Whitewater; Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Bores and Robert, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Johnson, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Antone Hoffman, Gresham; Mr. and Mrs. Alois Pevonka, Leopolis; Mrs. Alma Carlson, Mr. George Carlson and Mrs. Mary Dallman, Milwaukee.
