Goutcher, Edward #2 (Aug. 1861 - 16 Jan. 1944)

Unity, Wis. - Edward Goutcher, 82, Unity, who had been a patient at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, since Dec. 7 when he fractured his hip, died there at 8:20 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Unity Methodist Church, the Rev. M. B. Ferguson officiating and burial will take place in the Town of Beaver.

Mr. Goutcher was born in Manitowoc County in August 1861, and was married at Two Creeks, Manitowoc County, May 15, 1889, to Mary Roth. In 1900 the Goutchers came to the Town of Beaver.

Surviving are his wife and five of their 10 children, Edward Goutcher, Idaho; Alvin Goutcher, at home, Raymond Goutcher, Town of Unity, Maynard Goutcher, Minneapolis, and Mrs. Louis Scheel, Town of Green Grove. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
