Goutcher, Alvin L. (4 Mar. 1898 - 26 May 1982)
Spencer, Wis. - Alvin L. Goutcher, 84, of 402 Dearborn St., Spencer, died this morning at the Colonial House of Colby Nursing Home.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer, with the Rev. William H. Ruhbusch officiating. Burial will be in the West Spencer Cemetery, with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer.
Mr. Goutcher was born March 4, 1898 in Manitowoc County to Mr. and Mrs. Edward (Mary Roth) Goutcher. He married the former Adela Pachal Langfeldt May 31, 1952. She survives.
He farmed in the Town of Beaver and also had worked for Pathfinder for a number of years. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and formerly belonged to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, South Green Grove, where he held various offices.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Ted (Vivian) Briski, Greenwood, Mrs. Rosalee Henderson, Racine, Mrs. James (June) Pollord, New Hobbs, N.M., and Mrs. Dennis (Trudy) Taves, Marshfield; two sons, Wilfred "Butch" Langfeldt, Houston, and Adelbert "Guy" Langfeldt, Marshfield; 23 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.
