Horner, Frank John #2 (9 Jan. 1859 - 3 Aug. 1952)

Funeral services were held Thursday at 2 P.M. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, South Green Grove, for Frank John Horner, 93, who passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Sunday, August 3 of a heart attack and old age complications.

The Rev. Paul Dietz officiated at the services and burial was made in the Beaver cemetery.

Mr. Horner was born January 9, 1859 at Two Rivers. He came to Clark County when 18 years of age and lived in the township of Beaver for 75 years. He was making his home with his son, Charles and family at the time of his death.

He was married April 17, 1883 to Mina Meinholdt of Greenwood. Her death occurred 27 years ago.

Surviving are three sons, Charles, Unity; Edward, Owen; and Herman, Ypsilanti, Mich.; and four daughters, Mrs. Dave Pepin, Mrs. Chauncey Johnson, Mrs. Clarence Taylor and Miss Emma Horner, all of California. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Mrs. John Miller, preceded him in death, also 2 sons and 2 daughters, who died in infancy.
