Schultz, Esther Irene #2 (5 July 1900 - 22 Aug. 1941)

Mrs. William Schultz of Unity died at the age of 41 years of embolism at the St. Mary’s Hospital at Wausau at 4:00 P.M. Friday and funeral services were held at the Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity Monday afternoon. Rev. J. A. Olson officiated and burial was made at Loyal. The pall bearers were C. J. Bane, Chas. Haslow, W. E. Morgan, John Sorenson, Otto Kuehling and Fred Cox.

Mrs. Schultz had been in poor health all summer and had gone to the Wausau hospital two weeks ago where she submitted to a major operation ten days ago.

The deceased was born in the town of Beaver, Clark County, on July 5, 1900, and was married to William Schultz on Jan. 17, 1922. They moved to Unity in 1925 and had lived there since.

Surviving are her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Goutcher of the town of Beaver, three children, a stepson, and five brothers and a sister. The children are William, 18, Irene, 15, and June, 12, and the stepson, Orville Schultz, of Unity. Brothers and sisters are Henry Goutcher of Ladysmith; Ed, in the west; Alvin, on the home farm; Maynard of Minneapolis; Raymond of the town of Hull and Mrs. Louis Scheel of Green Grove.

Mrs. Schultz was active in the affairs of the Lutheran Church, which she joined in 1931, and was also an active member of the school band parents association.
