Bradle, Edith (6 NOV 1937)
The marriage of Miss Edith Bradle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bradle of the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), and John E. Godden, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Godden of the town of Mead (Clark Co.), was solemnized at high noon on Saturday, Nov. 6th, 1937, at the home of the bride’s parents.
The living room was appropriately decorated for the occasion. The Rev. P.H. Franzmeier of the Immanuel Reformed Church read the marriage service.
The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Robert Godden of Minneapolis, Minn., the former being a brother of the groom.
The bride wore a dress of navy blue crepe and carried a bouquet of roses, carnations, sweet peas and ferns. Mrs. Robert Godden, her only attendant, was attired in a black crepe dress and wore a corsage of chrysanthemums. For traveling the bride wore a two-piece suit of gray worsted, fashioned from her mother’s wedding dress.
After the ceremony a fine wedding dinner was served to twenty guests.
Mr. Godden and his bride left on a wedding trip to Duluth and Minneapolis, Minn. They will be at home to their friends after November 14th in the town of Mead.
