Storey, Mr./Mrs. Mat (Gold - 21 JAN 1938)

About fifty friends and relatives gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Baker on Friday evening, Jan. 21st, 1938, to help Mr. and Mrs. Mat Storey celebrate their golden wedding anniversary. The rooms were beautifully decorated in yellow and a nice dinner was served at seven o’clock, with a nice large wedding cake in the center of the table. The evening was spent in dancing, singing songs, playing games and visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Storey received some nice gifts. Later in the evening coffee and lunch were served. After a very pleasant evening the guests retired to their home wishing Mr. and Mrs. Storey many more years of wedded happiness. Among the guests from away were: Mr. and Mrs. Marion Fazel of Richland Center, S.E. Warner of Stevens Point, Mrs. Ed Erdman of Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. James Asplin of Owen, also quite a few people from Jump River.
