Chudy, Ignatz (6 NOV 1893 - 15 FEB 1938)

Ignatz Chudy, 44 years of age, resident of the town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), a world war veteran, died at the Veterans Hospital at Minneapolis on Tuesday where he has been a patient for nine months. The remains which were brought here for burial, lie in state at the Bogumill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at St. Hedwig’s Church at ten o’clock Saturday morning, Feb. 19th, Deceased was a member of the American Legion.

Ignatius Chudy, 44, died of pulmonary tuberculosis at the Veterans Hospital at Minneapolis, Feb. 15, 1938, where he had been a patient for the past nine months.

Deceased was born in Poland, Nov. 6, 1893. He came to America in 1912 and located in Chicago, and in 1926 located on a farm near Thorp. He spent 15 months in the World War.

He leaves to mourn his early demise, his wife and two children, Theodore and Florence, two brothers, Andrew of Chicago, and Frank in Poland, and one sister, Mrs. Bernice Prewoznik in Poland.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church, Saturday morning, Rev. F.A. Kulig officiating, and interment following in the parish cemetery. Members of the American Legion Post acted as pallbearers and military honors were accorded at the grave.
