At a quiet wedding solemnized at St. Joseph’s Church of Stratford, Saturday morning, July 2nd, 1938, Miss Eileen Hayes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hayes of Stratford, became the bride of Arthur Soderberg Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Soderberg of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), Rev. J.L. Schumacher performed the ceremony.
Aqua chiffon fashioned the bride’s gown and white gardenias held the finger-tip veil. She carried a colonial bouquet. Betty Hayes and Marjorie Soderberg were the bride’s attendants. Charles and Robert Hayes attended the groom.
Tow violin - organ selections, "Meditation," and "Ave Maria" were played during the ceremony by Verona Hayes and Alois Aschenbrenner.
A wedding dinner was served to the immediate relatives at the home of the bride’s parents. The wedding couple took a short trip through southern Wisconsin.
The bride has been employed here at the Thorp Finance Corp. offices and the groom is with the Thorp Dairy Co.
