Inspection of the local Eastern Star Chapter was held at Masonic hall Thursday evening, March 26, with the following guests from out of town present; Mrs. Maxine Stenerson of Eau Claire, grand lecturer; Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell Jenks of Abbotsford (Mrs. Jenks is grand lecturer of the Masonic Lodge); Dr. Joseph Peterson, and Mrs. L. W. Cattanach of Owen, Wis.

Mrs. Stenerson acted as inspection officer during the exemplification of the work. After the meeting lunch was served. The tables were decorated with flowers and lovely favors were used.

At 5:30 o’clock Thursday afternoon Mrs. Stenerson was honor guest at dinner given at the Korrup restaurant. Others present were; Mrs. Harold Stabnow and O. J. Amundson, worthy matron and worthy patron of the local chapter, Mrs. O. J. Amundson and Mrs. Beatrice Clayton.

Mr. and Mrs. John Lesar of Willard are the parents of a son born Tuesday, March 24, at the Harry Hogue home.

Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Noetzel returned home Wednesday after spending the winter in Florida.

Mr. And Mrs. Henry Keiner were Owen visitors Thursday evening.

Miss Edith Einfeldt entertained fellow members of the faculty of the Withee High School here at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Einfeldt with a waffle supper Wednesday evening. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Curtiss Hugill, Mr. and Mrs. Badman and son, Mr. Held, Mr. Kramer, and Misses Flood, Ninino, Sturdevant, Petersen, Hanson, Werner.

Mrs. Anna Speich, Mrs. George Vollrath, Jake Speich, and daughter, Violet, returned home Thursday after spending a week at Osnistota, S. D. they were accompanied on the trip by Oscar Meinhardt of Colfax.
