Powszukiewicz, Rose (10 AUG 1938)
A pretty wedding occurred at St. Hedwig’s Church, Wednesday, Aug. 10th, 1938, when Rose, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Powszukiewicz, became the bride of Mr. Frank Wilczek, son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Wilczek, at nine o’clock in the morning. The ceremony was performed by Rev. S.J. Siegienski, uncle of the bride. Two couples attended the pair: Miss Sophie Wilczek, bridesmaid, the grooms sister, attired in pink gown with blue accessories with Frank Powszukiewicz, the bride’s brother, as best man and Miss Helen Sydejko, attired in blue with pink accessories, and Edward Koltis.
The gentlemen all wore dark blue suits. The bride’s gown was white satin and lace and she wore a long lace trimmed cap effect veil embellished with orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses and ferns. Little flower girls, Rosemary Sydejko and Frances Siegienski, both cousins of the bride, preceded the couple with baskets of mixed flowers. Their dresses were white.
A reception was held after the ceremony at the home of the bride’s parents in the town of Worde (Clark Co., Wis.), which was attended by relatives and friends. The happy couple will now make their home on the groom’s farm in the town of Worden with the best wishes of the entire community.
Out of town guests who were present were: Rev. S.J. Siegienski, Grant, Neb., Rev. J.F. Siegeinski, St. Paul, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Sydejko and family of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. John Grabowski and family and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Powszukiewicz of Gilman, Wis.
