Zay, Wanda (4 SEP 1938)

Mr. William Wolf, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wolf, and Miss Wanda Zay, daughter of Mrs. Anna Zay of Reseburg township (Clark Co., Wis.), were joined in holy wedlock at St. Hedwig’s Church at a five o’clock ceremony performed by Rev. F.A. Kulig, Sunday evening.

The bride wore a white satin and lace gown with long train and veil with crown of orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of white lilies and ferns. Her bridesmaid, Kathryn, a sister, of Chicago, was dressed in a pale green moiré gown with short veil and carried gladiolas. Another sister of the bride, Virgie, was matron of honor. She wore a dress of aqua blue taffeta with cap effect veil and also carried a bouquet of gladiolas. The groom and his attendant, Ben Martin of Chicago, wore tuxedos.

The wedding supper was held at the American Legion Hall, attended by relatives and friends, and a dance was held in the evening.

The couple will reside in Thorp where the groom has charge of the Wolf Shoe Repair Shop.

Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Phil Redmond, Val and Bertha Wolf, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Lucas and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Lucas, all of Chicago.
