Bradford, Florence (Marriage - 16 April 1942)
Miss Florence Bradford, Seattle, Wash., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bradford of this city, and Raymond A. Earl, Portland, Ore., were united in marriage Thursday, April 16, at 8:30 p.m. The wedding took place at Augustana Lutheran Church, Rev. Randolf performing the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with lovely bouquets and candelabra.
A sister of Mr. Earl, Mrs. Clarence Nelson, and Anthony de Martin, Van Couver, Wash., a life-long friend of the groom, were the attendants. All were dressed in dark blue suits, the bride wearing a large hat to match her suit and a gorgeous white orchid as her corsage.
A reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents. The wedding cake was baked in the form of a wedding ring, centered with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Only the groom’s relatives and immediate friends of the couple were present.
Mrs. Earl is a graduate of the Neillsville High School, and Calhoun Business College. Since her graduation she has been successfully employed as a bookkeeper in Minneapolis and Seattle. The groom, employed in the office of the Oregon Shipbuilders, is a total stranger here through his choice of Florence Bradford as a lifelong companion, brings him to the imagination as a most worthwhile gentleman.
Their honeymoon trip of a week was spent at Seaside, Oregon.
