Bissell, LeRoy (26 April 1873 - 1942)
Leroy Bissell passed away at his home in Pine Valley at 10:30 a.m. Sunday after an illness of about two weeks. His health had been poorly for several years. He was 69 years of age.
Mr. Bissell was born to Anson and Arilla Evans Bissell April 26, 18873, in the town of Pine Valley, living there during his entire lifetime. He learned the carpenter’s trade, working for many years with his father.
He was married to Lovilla Parker December 24, 1901, his wife having preceded him in death. Two daughters, Blanche, Mrs. John Dickinson, Merrillan, and Mrs. Esther Lighthizer, Augusta, survive. He also leaves several grandchildren and a brother, David Bissell, with whom he had been living on the old home place.
Funeral services are to be held today at two p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.
The pallbearers are: August Milbreit, Frank Viergutz, Carl Deirs, Thoams Peaslee, Harry Albright and George Frantz.
Among those who came for the rites are the daughters of their families and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hubbard, Janesville and Hugh Hubbard, Chicago.
