Funeral services for Mrs. Herman Schlinsog, Granton were held at the Jaster Funeral Home, followed by services at the Mapleworks Lutheran Church at two p.m., Tuesday, May 12, the Rev. Arthur Laesch officiating. Interment was made in the Mapleworks Cemetery. She attended the age of 67.
Mrs. Schlinsog passed away at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, May 9, of a heart attack. She had been recovering satisfactorily following an operation on the fourth day of May.
Mrs. Schlinsog, nee Clara Beer, was born April 21, 1875, in the town of Grant. She grew to womanhood there, living in that community all her life with the exception of a few years. She was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church, leasing a singularly beautiful life. She gained and maintained the love and respect of the entire community.
She was married to Herman Schlinsog October 2, 1894, in the town of Grant. Her husband survives.
The departed also is survived by three sons and a daughter: Walter, Gran; Edward, S. York; Harry S, Neillsville; and Violet, Mrs. Elmer Krause, Manitowoc, Wis., and fourteen grandchildren. One child preceded her in death.
Other survives are two brothers and two sisters: Charles Beer, Waupaca; Herman Beer, Chilton; Mrs. Emma Lautenbach, Grant; and Mrs. Minnie Warsinski, Spokane, Wash. A sister and a brother died in infancy and a sister and a brother passed away in their mature years.
The relatives who attended the rites from distant places were: Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Krause and family, Manitowoc, Wis.; Mrs. C. E. McKeand and Mrs. Anna Guk, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Lautenbach, Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Latuenbach, Mrs. Reinhardt Lautenbach and Oscar Lautenbach, Milwaukee; Mrs. Ferdinand Gotter and daughter, Lobelia, Stratford; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Arndt, and Miss Esther Schlinsog, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Charlie E. Beer, and daughter, Ada, Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Keller, their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. H. Shafer, Abbotsford; Richard Anding, and son, Verlyn, and daughter, Veralia, Altoona; and Mr. and Mrs. William Schlinsog and daughter, Mabel, Greenwood.
