Laager, Bertha (Marriage - 29 May 1942)
Miss Bertha Laager and George Poertner were quietly married in Neillsville at 8:30 Friday evening at Sunset Point, the Rev. G. W. Longenecker performing the ceremony. They were attended by Miss Alice Sollberger and Elmer Hoesly, friends of the couple.
The bride was dressed in navy blue with white accessories and wore a spray of lily of the valley. Her attendant wore a pink dress with spray similar to that worn by the bride.
Mrs. Poernter is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Laager of the town of Hewett. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Poertner, also of the town of Hewett.
The newly-weds will make their home with the groom’s parents.
