Degenhardt, Roman M. (18 Dec. 1930 - 31 Mar. 1979)
Loyal - Services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, for Roman M. Degenhardt, 48, Route 1, Loyal. He was pronounced dead on arrival at 1:15 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Death resulted from a heart attack.
The Rev. Chester J. Osowski, pastor of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Rinka Funeral Home.
Mr. Degenhardt was born Dec. 18, 1930 at Colby to Mr. and Mrs. Henry (Laverne) Degenhardt. He attended Mack School.
He farmed in the Green Grove area, later moving to Chicago. In 1956 he moved to the town of Loyal where he farmed and also was employed by Weyerhaeuser Co. in Marshfield until 1972.
On Sept. 27, 1952 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Loyal he married the former Nancy Hull who survives.
Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Leo (Donna) Rosier and Mrs. Randy (Kathy) Zakrzewicz, both of Loyal, Mrs. Randy (Suzanne) Hederer of Colby, and Margie and Peggy, both at home; a son, Tom of Route 1, Spencer; four brothers, Edwin of Greenwood, James of Milwaukee, Ray of Loyal and Ronald of Belvidere, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. Edward (Eleanor) Bowman of Alma Center, Mrs. Leo (Jean) Verbrigghe of West Allis, Mrs. James (Carol) Whipple of Marshfield and Mrs. Sylvester (Arlene) Rizzi of Route 2, Spencer; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers.
