Cappel, Charles (5 Dec. 1861 - 25 Feb. 1936)
Charles Cappel, age seventy-four, a former resident of the town of Hull, Wisconisn died at a Wausau hospital last week Tuesday afternoon, hardening of the arteries being the cause of his death. He had been ill five years and a patient at the hospital one year. Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 28th, at the home of his nephew, Anton Hertz, at Edgar where internment was also made.
The deceased was born at St. Julian, Germany, on December 5th, 1861, and came to the United States in 1883. He located at Pekin, Ill., but a year later came to the town of Hull and settled on a farm, now the property of Rudolph Wiersig, where he lived for thirty-nine years. He never married and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. William Hertz, Mrs. Sophia Bier, and one brother, Jacob Cappell, all of Athens.
