Speck, Evelyn (Marriage - 25 Apr. 1936)

Miss Evelyn Speck, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Speck of Abbotsford, and Francis W. Scherer, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Scherer of Greenwood, were married at St. Bernard’s Catholic church of Abbotsford Saturday morning at 8:00 o’clock, Rev. John Novak reading the marriage ceremony. The couple was attended by Miss Cecelia Scherer and Eldred Speck.

The bride wore a blue swagger suit with navy accessories with a shoulder bouquet. Miss Cecelia Scherer was dressed in a frock of old rose shade with navy blue accessories and also wore a shoulder corsage.

Dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents after the ceremony. After a short wedding trip, the newlyweds will be at home May 1st at Abbotsford where the groom is a cheesemaker.
