Mueller, Joseph (9 Apr. 1875 - 27 June 1936)

Joseph Mueller, a former Colbyite, passed away at 5:30 o’clock Saturday evening, June 27th, at Camp Imagine at Phelps, Wisconsin, heart trouble being the cause of his departure to the distant shore. Funeral services were held at Lulloff’s funeral parlors in Colby Tuesday afternoon, Rev. E. Becker officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery. Pall bearers were Chas. Adams, Emil Fassbender, Chas. Feind, Geo. Theilig, Emil Kading, Peter Apfelbeck.

The deceased was born on the 9th day of April, 1875, in the town of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, thus reaching the age of sixty-one years, two months and eighteen days. When he was two years of age, the family moved from Sheboygan county to the town of Green Grove. Mr. Mueller had been employed in various places but this vicinity and Colby was considered by him as home since his childhood days. He will be remembered by many for his congenial and generous disposition and his willingness to perform his duties as he saw them.

The surviving relatives who mourn his departure are two brothers: Matt Mueller and August Mueller, both of Colby. A number of cousins and nephews and other distant relatives and friends also mourn his departure from this life.

Out of town people here for the funeral services were Mrs. Frank Mueller and daughter and Mrs. Martha Sperbecker of Marshfield, Richard Glenzer and Oscar Kademan of Green Grove and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Letzel of Dorchester, Wis.
