Staples, Albert M. (2 Oct. 1861 - June 1936)

Funeral services for Albert M. Staples, who died at his home two and one-half miles west of Abbotsford on June 23rd as the result of a paralytic stroke, were held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock from the residence, Rev. L. C. Smith of Abbotsford officiating and internment was made in the Colby cemetery.

The deceased was born at Green Lake on Oct. 2, 1861, where he grew to manhood on his father’s farm. He married Lydia Gardenier on May 22, 1889. He lived in South Dakota for fifteen years and at Markesan for eight years after which the family resided on the farm west of Abbotsford, Wis.

Surviving are his wife and three children, Nellie M. and Ray, at home and Guy W. Staples of Ardmore, Okla. Also the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. W. W. Card of Grand Meadow, Minn., Mrs. F. G. Walker and Arthur Staples of Hoquiam, Wash., John Staples of Milwaukee and George Staples of Markesan.
