Niehoff, Henry (3 Aug. 1851 - 27 June 1936)
Henry Niehoff of Abbotsford died at a Wausau hospital Saturday morning at the age of eighty-four after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at 9:30 o’clock Monday morning at Wausau, Rev. E. H. Bertermann officiating, and internment was made in Rex cemetery at Iron Ridge.
Mr. Niehoff was born August 3rd, 1851 in Germany. He came to this country at the age of fourteen, and was married February 17, 1876, in Hustingford to Miss Maria Melcher who died in 1907. He has been a resident of Marathon county for the past six years. He is survived by nine children, Mrs. O. C. Lemke, 534 Harrison, Wausau, Felix H. Niehoff, 128 Weston, Wausau, Mrs. Ralph Skillin, Oak Park, Ill., Mrs. G. C. Johnson, Evansville, Ind., Mrs. R. E. Perry, Oshkosh, Paul G. Niehoff, Beverly Hills, Cal., Mrs. Carl Hoff, Portland, Ore., and Conrad E. Niehoff and Miss Viola Niehoff, Horicon, and Bernhardt Niehoff, Beaver Dam; and four grand children.
