Teske, Rheinold (23 Feb. 1877 - 29 July 1936)
Without any warning, Rheinold Teske, residing one mile south of Troy, was suddenly taken with heart failure while eating supper at his home on Wednesday evening, July 29, and died immediately.
Mr. Teske was born in Freundstahl, Germany, February 23, 1877, and came to America in 1891, locating in this state. When the Spanish-American War broke out he enlisted in Company A of the Wisconsin Volunteers.
He was united in marriage to Miss Emma Sadenwasser of Troy on January 14th, 1902. After a three years’ residence at Colby, Wis., they moved to Walworth county and resided on various farms thereabouts.
Mr. Teske was a man of quiet disposition, industrious and very much devoted to his family. He was a good neighbor and friend and will be greatly missed.
His survivors are his wife; one son, Merle, of Union, Ohio; one daughter, Mrs. Ervin Kulow, of Waukesha; four brothers and two sisters, residing in Germany; and one grand child.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran church of Troy of which he was a most faithful member, the Rev. G. E. Schmidt officiating, and Loomis-Martin Post No. 188, American Legion of East Troy, and Tiffany Camp of the United Spanish American War Veterans conducted services at the grave in Oak Ridge cemetery.
