Rueden, Elsie (Marriage - 24 Oct. 1936)
Miss Elsie Rueden, daughter of Mrs. Theresa Rueden of Unity, became the bride of Mr. Melvin Roe of New London at a ceremony performed at 7:30 Saturday morning in the Most Precious Blood church in New London. Rev. Paul Herb performed the ceremony. Attendants were Miss Aureal Hahn, niece of the groom, and John Rueden, brother of the bride.
The bride was attired in a black crepe tunic dress trimmed with white silk braid and wore a shoulder corsage of chrysanthemums.
The wedding breakfast was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joyce Roe. A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Walker. The dining room was delightfully decorated with streamers of rose and silver. The wedding cake was decorated with a tiny doll bridal party.
